The existing building was built by the local people in Lenadoon, West Belfast in the early 1970s as a social club. The building was given over to community use and taken over by ‘Kids Together’ in 2006, a newly formed organisation put together by local mothers to meet an identified need for day care for children with special needs. We were involved in this key stage of refurbishment of the existing building and we are currently working on feasibility studies for the extension of the existing building including facilities for children with Autism.
