The brief was to convert and extend an existing listed National School building into a home. The National School was a simple single storey two room stone building with generous double height spaces to the interior. The building had been vacant for over 40 years since its closure as a school. Full planning permission for a sensitive restoration and extension was successfully achieved in 2010. Construction began in September 2012. All aspects of the project were designed from landscaping through to interiors and a strong working relation with the client and contractor ensured an exceptionally well finished project. Construction was completed in October 2013.
